RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., March 29, 2004—Advanced Animal Diagnostics (AAD) announced today that it will conduct its research and development activities at the BD Technologies BioVenture Center incubator facility in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
BD Technologies, a unit of BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), established the incubator in 1999 in Research Triangle Park to foster partnership with innovative life science companies emerging from local and regional academic centers.
As an incubator client, Advanced Animal Diagnostics will have access to state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and have the opportunity to work collaboratively with BD scientists during the “incubation” period, which can range from six months to two years. The ultimate goal of the unique BD program is to foster research and development collaborations leading to new business opportunities for both parties.
Advanced Animal Diagnostics was founded in 2001, and its mission is to engage in the research, development, and commercialization of integrated systems and solutions for the diagnosis and treatment of veterinary health problems including mastitis and other large-animal diseases.
