RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., November 8, 2004—Advanced Animal Diagnostics (AAD) announced today that Charles F. Galanaugh will serve on its Scientific Advisory Board.
Mr. Galanaugh brings over 40 years of experience to the AAD Scientific Advisory Board. He served in a wide variety of functional and managerial roles, which include product development engineering, program management, marketing, sales management, division general management, corporate strategy, technology value assessment and business development.
Many years of his career were with Becton Dickinson and Company. During his tenure at Becton Dickinson and Company he was responsible for new product development and/or market introduction for many very successful products, in fields such as hematology and immunoassay, and in applications in various laboratory sites, such as hospitals, commercial and physician's office laboratories. He managed direct sales forces as well as distribution relationship efforts. He served as President of Becton Dickinson, Primary Care Diagnostics Division.
Mr. Galanaugh also served, for over ten years, as President and in other executive roles as an officer of NCCLS (now CLSI - Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute), the global organization responsible for voluntary consensus standards for clinical laboratory practice. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Van Slyke Foundation, a not-for-profit activity of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry, devoted to supporting programs in education, research and career development. In the past he has served on the board of directors and board of advisors of other associations and companies.
Advanced Animal Diagnostics was founded in 2001, and its mission is to engage in the research, development, and commercialization of integrated systems and solutions for the diagnosis and treatment of veterinary health problems including mastitis and other large-animal diseases
