Advanced Animal Diagnostics, Inc. (Durham NC) announced today that two financial / investment consultants have agreed to join the Advisory Board of the company. Rudy Rodriguez, President of AAD, commented as follows: “The addition of two successful executives with worldwide experience in the fields of investment and corporate finance will help us to choose the right strategies for funding commercialization of our first product in 2008 and for eventual global expansion. We are pleased to welcome Mr. Adler and Mr. Appert to our growing team.”
Robert I. Adler has had a 47-year career in the investment industry. His experience encompasses service as an investment strategist and manager of both equity and fixed-income portfolios on behalf of major European financial institutions. He served as Vice President and Senior Investment Officer, establishing and managing Portfolio Management Departments for the US affiliates of two large German banking institutions. He has experience in investment banking and security analysis with eminent American securities firms, having served on the Boards of Directors of The Greenfield Fund and Asia Electronics Holdings Co. He is presently a member of the Boards of Directors of three small corporations: China Medicine Corp. and SinoEnergy, both of which are China-based but wholly-owned by US entities listed on the NASDAQ Bulletin Board, and Precision Aerospace Components, a US-based company with plans for a NASDAQ listing. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the New York Society of Security Analysis and a retired member of the New York Association of Business Economists. Mr. Adler has a BA degree from Swarthmore College with graduate work at the NYU Graduate School of Business Administration.
Richard H. Appert has for the past twelve years been an independent consultant in the areas of financial and turnaround management and strategic planning for small to medium sized companies. For the previous eighteen years, he held various executive positions with administrative, financial and Information processing responsibilities in the domestic and overseas operations of Becton Dickinson and Company. Before that he was for ten years an executive with Ernst and Young, LLP. He is a retired CPA and holder of the CCP certification in information processing. He is also a member of the Financial Executives International and several other professional societies. Mr. Appert is a graduate of Fordham University with an A.B. in Mathematics, Columbia University Business School with an MBA in both Accounting and Finance, and the PMD Executive Program at the Harvard Business School.
